Pony Wall Removal & Raised Sunken Floor

Beautiful living / dining remodel

Here is a fantastic single story remodel that removed pony walls in the entry and dining areas and raised the living room floor. There are many floor plans in Wood ranch with half walls and sunken / step-down floors. It is fun to see what neighbors do with them when keeping them or removing them!

This dining room remodel adds beautiful board & batten accent wall, a floating shelf as well as a new iron chandelier.

The photos don't quite do these rooms justice. This space is very light and open and flows so beautifully from front to back.

Raising the living room can be tricky because you usually also have to raise the firebox in the fireplace.

This single story plan has a couple arrangements. One at around 2,532 sf, has 4 bedrooms, and 2.5 baths with one bedroom having double doors, being useful as an office. The other at 2,272 sf, has 3 bedrooms, and 2 baths, with one of the bedrooms also often utilized as an office. Both have a soaring dining room with skylights filling the house with light. These models all originally had the sunken living room on a slab and many have since been raised.
